Brent Eichman, MBA, CHFP, is the Chief Executive Officer of Umpqua Health, the parent company of the coordinated care organization (CCO) Umpqua Health Alliance, which provides insurance and care to 26,000 Douglas County residents on the Oregon Health Plan.
He possesses more than two decades of executive experience in hospital administration, health systems, physician groups, and health information technology companies, which has afforded him the opportunity to understand and represent a variety of unique health care stakeholder perspectives.
Against the backdrop of system transformation, Brent is dedicated to improving health care delivery through the mechanisms of payment reform and leveraging the expanding benefits of information technology.
He was involved in the development of the coordinated care organization model from the outset and served on several of the Governor’s original concept committees around its formation. He was also appointed to the state’s Global Budget Committee and directly involved in much of the early financial modeling. He remains actively involved at the state level and has advocated for sound health policy for over a decade.
Brent completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Iowa and earned his MBA in Health Care Administration from Regis University.
