Umpqua Health Adds Two Members to Leadership Team
New Hires for Chief Medical Officer and VP of Health Systems Performance
ROSEBURG – Umpqua Health is announcing the addition of two members to its leadership team. Umpqua Health manages the coordinated care organization in Douglas County.
Dr. Philip Greger is the new Chief Medical Officer tasked with ensuring safe and effective medical services are available to UHA’s members. Juliana Landry, MPH, is the new Vice President of Health Systems Performance and is accountable for the operations including transformation, community engagement, health equity, and software development. F. Douglas Carr, M.D., has resumed his role as Medical Director as part of the planned leadership succession at Umpqua Health.

Dr. Greger was the Medical Director for Care Coordination at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, and previously had a private practice in The Woodlands, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his post-secondary education in general surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He also has an MBA in Healthcare Management from the Jindal School of Management at University of Texas-Dallas and a master’s degree in legal studies from Washington University-St. Louis School of Law.
Landry most recently worked at a population health and analytics firm in Boston, consulting on health strategies for over a dozen major health systems and plans across the United States. She is a fourth-generation Oregonian and was previously Director of Business Intelligence for an Oregon CCO. She has a bachelor’s in Social Science from Portland State University and a Master of Public Health focused in Health Disparities, Primary Care, and Bioinformatics from OHSU.
Douglas Carr, M.D. joined Umpqua Health in 2017 as the Medical Director and became the Chief Medical Officer in 2018. He has had a variety of experience in the Western U.S., including leadership roles at PeaceHealth Medical Group and the Eugene VA Healthcare Center, and 24 years at Billings Clinic in Montana. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University, completed internships at New Rochelle Medical Center and Metropolitan Medical Center in New York, and served his residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and completed his Master’s Degree in Medical Management from Tulane University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
